There are millions of blogs following this model, since it is, for the most part, common sense, but I doubt more than 1/500,000 actually make something like a 6-figure yearly income.

 

Its just not that simple, everyone and their sister has a blog now, If you wanna get ahead you gotta think outside the box not follow others lead.

I do not think 1 in 500000 is correct. I would say it is more like 1 in 1000000 blogs make six figures off adsense alone. Most sites make alot of money off affiliate program or selling something.

I don't think the flow chart is wrong (other then missing the arrow heads ).

What it does not tell are the details within each of those blocks.

"Improve your writing skills". Short simple sentence, but some individuals spend decades refining their writing.

"Persuade friends to link to you". I will presume 'friends' here means relevant sites. This simple sentence is backed by a whole cottage industry with hundreds of companies and individuals toiling at the persuasion.

"Have patience!" The number one thing we (at least I) lack.

And so on...
