Here are a few concepts that I worked on for this entry. Colors can be easily changed around. Enjoy!

Actually I want people to glance at it and be stunned momentarily by its brilliance .. staring is no-go because I want them to read the content on the blog haha

I love the blue version of it.. I think it fits better than the pink.

I think we've optimized this design as much as possible already. Do you have anything other designs, Dusty Dog?

Thought the one in the middle looked the best, though the font could be improved.. the third one was too meek and the first one feels a little itchy..

 

I like the symbol a lot so you can keep that part.. maybe make it a little smaller or try a new font? Maybe dark grey and baby blue colors would be nice as well..

Very nice ramakrishna.. it has a cute feel to it which is what I like and I like the colors you chose as well...

Not sure how it'll fit on the whole page though so if you could mount it on a screenshot that'll be great!

Thanks xpressions.. nice design! The d symbol is pretty awesome too.. it feels a little too backgroundish to me though, doesn't stand out enough especially when you compare it to the post titles which seem to 'pop out' at you ..

 

Ooooh.. I like the font! Perhaps incorporating it into a header of some sort would be interesting and make it stand out more..

Hi everyone! The thread seems to be dead for a while so I've decided to end the contest sooner.

And the winner is Dusty Dog for this design!

In the end, this is the design that I think fits best with the blog.. What do you guys think of it? I think its pretty nice..

I'll be contacting him shortly to let him know that he's won. If he is uncontactable or unwilling to do the logo, I'll pick another winner.

In any case.. thanks to everyone who participated.. your designs were great and I'm sure you could easily reuse them for future clients
