I was puzzled with google's ranking...
I have some sites, most of them are PR3-4 with the homepage, but there is an interesting circs with their google and yahoo rankings.

The ditail is this:
When the google search ranking is good ( Top 10 position with the keyword search resulet), the ranking in yahoo is bad....; and when the yahoo search ranking is good, the google's search result is bad.

Why? I think google and yahoo are opposite camps, just like Orcs and Humans in WOW???

 

There is no need for two search engines with the same results!

 

hello, both the search enginee have their own ranking algorithim. Google prefer good content & backlinks & i think yahoo prefer a lot on onpage factors.
If your site is good on both of these factors then i think u will do good in both the SEs.
Another point google prefer new sites & place them well in SERp initially & yahoo always prefer old sites.

 

You just need to balance your optimizing technique so that you can get a better ranking in both yahoo and google. Google gives more priority to quality backlinks why yahoo focus more on text contents.
