I want to promote one of my site and I have heard that by posting and by helping peoples on forums I would get more and more back links from signatures, for these I am looking for list of good forums where I can join and contribute the forum as well as attach my signature and get the benefit of the signature. I would appreciate if some one would give me the list of the forums or show me where I can get the list from ( I have googled before post ).

yes, that is a good long list! but then it is always suggested to join forums that are similar to your site's theme, that will give you related backlink, and will be worth something!
