Different endings (rather than .html) - still rank?

    Hey everyone,

I am currently working on a drink recipe website and I was wondering if anyone could help me on something. I thought it might be cool to use rewrite to make the urls different than most sites. For example, the link to an actual recipe page might be:

    http://mydrinkrecipewebsiteurl.com/Egg+Nog.drink

the pages might be categorized like:
    http://mydrinkrecipewebsiteurl.com/alcoholic+drinks.category

Now, will placement for these pages be any different? Will Google or any other SE be bothered by these "extensions"?

    Thanks,
    Luke

This would be interesting to know. Although I have read that better SEO comes without using file extensions at all, so I really don't know if this wold benefit anyone.

After reading a little, I've come to the conclusion that it wouldn't even be considered an extension at all. I don't really know if it'll benefit, but it shouldn't hurt.
