i set up an adwords campaign for my german site www.gamerzzz.de Since thre was a trademark issue with the term "geforce" i set up keywords only targeting model numbers....eg "7800 gs", "8800 gtx" etc. I had 250 keywords and models in my list, and MOST of my KW i select with no/few competition...and the CPC was VERY LOW...like 0.05 cents. (My monthly budget is only $30 per campaign) So..the first day i had LOTS of impression and all clicks done well, up to my daily limit. But now two days are gone...and i should have ANOTHER day wher my ads are showing, right ? Now i see in adwords that ALL (except ONE !) of my 250 KW says i need to increase my bid to $4 (!!!!) per click for all/most ofl those 249 keywords which were 0.05 cents before ! I need help..whats going on ? I have an add advertizing graphics cards and games...and i send people to my site where i sell them.
it MUST be the quality...eg. the fact i am having a keyword like "8800 gtx" but send the clicker to my main page and NOT an 8800 gtx page. There wre so many terms (graphic cards, other stuff too, product names etc.) its exremely unlikely someone drove prices up on all of them. Add: To make a better Quality Score i now set up 10 adds with 10 different model numbers. In adwords i edited each of those 10 keyword's landing page so i put people on a landing page, basically they doing a search on my page which results in a page with those products. Eg. if they'd search for "12345 GX" it would come up with a page showing all 12345 GX. I am not SURE whether this will improve add quality. Fo those keywords google AT FIRST still says its only "0.05" CPC....but then later it still says "increase quality" or bid (insert some insane amount here, like 4EU) The Problem is...i can NOT optimize more. To use {keyword:} in an AD is not recommended (i read that somewhere). So...i WOULD have to create ADS for EACH AND ANY product ..eg. ads for model 12355 GS, 662523 GT, 65512 GX etc..etc. I dont see another way to mention a particular keyword in an AD (without the dynamic pattern matching)...UNLESS creating COUNTLESS specific ads, one for each model number ! So i HAVE to leave the main ad less specific (graphic cards) but ONLY the landing page then different according to keyword. Will that optimize my Quality Score ?
I think maybe u landing page and You adgroup CTR is low .so u quality S is low. becasue you keyword soo much.U must deled IMp low keyword,and use:"Keyword tool", U can get a new campaign .do them again.

i really need to get the hang of this more...not the basics, i think i GOT the basics,,,but needed to know how exactly google actually defines the Quality Score. I THINK that site PR also has something to do with it. CTR for those words is still almost zero, as said i JUST made this campaign, so there are no clicks for most words. After i chjanged landing pages the CPC has gone down from $4 to say 0.25EU, but still too high for my budget. I optimized ad-text, landing pages, etc..etc... I do NOT have any single problem on my power-tools ste which has PR3 right now (the other site has 0 still ...... but on the german site, no matter what i search on KW and add, they are all at least 0.25EU or higher. The odd thing is that the landing pages and ads are done right, at least to my knowledge ! Have to read up on how google calculates QS...

AWC, the point is, my landing page is VERY specific to the advertized products. Also, my ads now have the product name in it. I made everything as SPECIFIC as i could ! The point is...i look for KW with Keywordool..and i select a KW with NO competition...and it first says CPC is 0.05 EU. I make a campaign with that KW, name in AD and on the landing page....and then adword says the CPC is 0.30 ! This is a problem since my budget per campaign is only 1EU/day...so if i activate i get max THREE clicks and then the budget is full. And,..how can my CTR become BETTER ? Now those ads/kw are all INACTIVE...so i have to activate them with the EXPENSIVE CPC to get CTR. If the KW are inactive i cannot get any CTR So..i am forced to bid HIGH always but google make me believe (at first) the CPC is only 0.05 EU ! Does it take some time when i make changes...and KW iS INACTIVE....or does the KW be active for getting better Quality ?
