They payout an average of 78.5%. That comes directly from their public SEC Filings. Now their premium publishers may get a slightly higher percentage, and regular publishers a slightly lower figure, but the total average is 78.5% paid to publishers. I would guess its more like 5% to 10 %, google does not have all that cash to pay share holders by luck!
what i'll wager is that google pays their publishers on a sliding scale, depending on the quality of the website and the traffic. a very highly trafficked website will probably receive higher income share, because it's in google's interest to keep these publishers from other competing services.
