Back links: why Google doesn't index all?

The problem is simple: Google doesn't show all my back-links and Yahoo does.

THE CONCRETE PROBLEM

1. Check my site's - www.ReLogoDesign.com - back-links via www.selfseo.com/link_popularity_checker.php

2. Here are the results:

a. Google - 18 Check the search!
b. Yahoo - 445 Check the search!

Knowing the link building work was done for www.ReLogoDesign.com , I can tell you that Yahoo shows the TRUE situation, the TRUE result of my SEO works.

Why Google's doesn't index all the back-links?...

 

Google does index all of the backlinks it just doesnt display them all

 

google don't show all your backlinks, check google webmaster tools, it will show all your backlinks that they indexed, but they only don't show all in search engine.

I have hundreds of backlinks for a few of my sites but Google only displays like 10% of them.

 

It's pretty widely known that Google will display less backlinks than Yahoo. Why is this? Well someone wiser than me will have to answer that question.

 

use google webmaster tools.you can see your all links.

 

In my opinion, G doesn't show all links because they don't want people to know the criteria to Rank the websites. If they will just show all of the links, there will be a lot of people who can build up tools to estimate the PR and SERP's which I don't think they would want people to know

 

Go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps and you can see your true no. of backlinks.

 

same here with me yahoo & all the web has 50 odd , google shows ZERO :|

 

Register with Google's webmaster tools. You can retrieve a lot of useful information thanks to them.

 

I think even the webmaster tool doesn't show the complete list of BL's. the list varies that from the Yahoo list.

 

There are a certain reasons why they don't reveal all

Google might not count some links also. They might only show some links that have rank. This is just my opinion.

 

I think they dont want people looking at their competitions backlinks then spamming other sites based on what they see their competition has.

 

I just viewed my statistics via www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps and I have to tell you that Google gives a much accurate and comprehensive back-link report than Yahoo does.



So, to make an idea about the info Google use to update our sites' PR, for example, we have to consult www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps
