Begging for rep in signature.

I don't really see this as much of a problem here.
At least most of the green reps I see being given here are legitimate.

 

I don't get this people ascking for rep in sign ....

Anyway i don't why rep is like an addiction here i don't care about it ... and i got plenty maybe becouse i don't care ....

 

Well, reputation matters to many members, especially when it comes to dealing in the buy-sell sections.
It's a rough indicator of a member's credibility in addition to the iTraders he/she has.

I wonder who was the person who shot me with a bad rep in this thread. Don't think I said anything wrong.

 

Well the reputation in this site is much more better used and has meaning to lots of people who do exchange

 

Well said. I think if it works like it's ideally supposed to work, you can feel more comfortable buying from someone. Especially for services that are payed for up front. But if someone has collected all there green blobs through rep exchanges, asking, or even begging for rep, then that dilutes the value of the whole reputation system.

 

Just red rep people who ask in their sig/posts... that's what I started to do.

If people care enough, they will rep you without you asking.

 

I had never been to this section of the forum before but people complaining is well entertaining.

Also I didn't even realise how Rep worked I thought it was based on post count or iTrader ratings until I read this then I was like :O im off to change my sig and PM people.

Joke please don't leave red i only have 10 green, dunno how I got them either.
