Just wondering when you use Google search (( link:your domain site )) do you find any (( Supplemental Result )) as backlinks? Thanks.
according to http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=34473 . supp. pages are like normal pages but googlebot visits with long term . i think link from supp. page will be counted as normal backlinks
Yes they are displayed with the link: command. I just checked for one of my site, and I can see a link from a page which is in supplemental results.
I see none. Please provide your sample link if you do see one. That could be very helpful. This may very important for link sites. Kind regards
Hmm, interesting test although backlinks on supplemental pages should count despite being in that index
Problem is how to check supplementals in backlinks if backlinks ((link: )) have any supplemental pages.
You check your backlinks with the link: command and for sites from which you've got link you check supplementals result with this syntax : site:www.example.com *** -ghfdjskfgs Code (markup): the "-ghfdjskfgs" part is whatever string which isn't present on pages.
i have gotten supplemental results before. oh and another way of checking for backlinks is though google's webmasters tools
