well, i just tried the money bookers, and it looks nice.

it says that you can, withdraw INR 57,597.30 in a 90 day period.
the ammount is not too much, but then it dose not have a lifetime limit as the paypal.

they have a referral feature like the paypal. and a paid sms option as well.

just want to know, if indians are using the money bookers, and what is the method of getting someone to pay you, is it like the paypal, give the email id, and you get the payment etc.

how long the check takes to reach, and what are the other options of withdrawal etc,
    thanks:)

    Hi,

I have used moneybookers many times since dec, 2006. Is is very cool in comparison to paypal. Here are the main good things with MB:

    (1) Get verified very fast using mobile, and raise your limits.
    (2) Fast withdrawal of funds direct in your bank account. Just 4-6 day in all.
    (3) No cheque withdrawal compulsion (unlike paypal), direct transfer in your bank account.
    (4) Secure because no cheque payment required. (As mailing service has less security..and we indians always pray to god that our cheque should not loss and reach in time)

    Other things:

Like paypal....we need to give email id to our clients to send funds. Instant fund transfer from one account to other like paypal.

Frankly..... I love moneybookers.... and I don't like paypal.

Almost every bank, atleast well know ones...like icici, hdfc etc.

You need to enter the swift code. And I am sure customer care of your bank will not be able to give you that. ;) It happened in my case. My bank is hdfc.

I think I can help you.... just let me know your bank (hdfc or icici or other) and bank branch including your city.

Mr Kumar, How do you get verified using mobile? I saw only 3 ways:
    1. address verification
    2. bank deposit
    3. credit card verification...

Sorry for late reply. I forget to answer few days back. Today when I go to my moneybookers just clicked in mind someone was looking for swift code at dp.
Go to http://www.swift.com/biconline/index.cfm?fuseaction=display_freesearch to find swift codes.

You need to enter your bank name in 'Institution keyword' option and India in 'country' option then click ok.

for sbi, there is only one entry 'SBCLINBBXXX' Swift code is also called BIC Code.

Please withdraw just Rs.580/- (what ever the minimum amount req. at MB) to test if swift code is working fine. You should get funds in 5-6 days max in your bank account.

When you get this test amount successfully, then you can withdraw any amount.

I don't know why you are not getting mobile option. I myself get verified using mobile. And my 2-3 clients get verified when suggested by me using mobile option.

You need to look around, I guess.

    Good Luck.:)

ya, am trying my best to convince more people to use this actively! am not giving any referral links of it though, those of you who want my referral link can get from this page, http://www.harmu.com/about/seoservices.htm

the bank people probably explains everything, i have asked the sbi, and they gave me there swift code and it worked, now my out going balance for 3 months is 1,96,000 INR, that's simply huge!! and no credit card required, also bank transfer available,

paypal also charges for paypal to payapl transfers, but then only for personal accounts you have the charge free service. and remember a personal account should always be upgraded to premier or further if you do business transcations pretty actively, that's the reason why we hear too many people getting there accounts frozen after they recive a $1000 transfer!

ask your bank, and they will give you there swift code, get a SBI account!:)

i don't you here!! am coufused wit this statement:confused:

the meaning of the line you quoted is, paypal says for doing business actively, we must have the premier and business accounts, and those accounts takes some fees for paypal to paypal transfers,

for money bookers, if you have a personal account, am sure you won't have to pay, money bookers to money bookers payments! correct me if am wrong!

i will update this thread shortly, i have some question also,:)

    i got the answer actually,
the fees for withdrawal is 99 INR for india, i have used the swift of SBI!
it was showing 140 INR max i can withdraw, so i got a bit scared there, i thought that was the maximum limit or something!!

but then i have just 240 INR in the money bookers balance, so taking the 100 in fees i am left with only 140, so it is all right!

money bookers did not take any fees, for 6$, i got 240 INR, which is better than paypal,
after that, it says only 100 INR, bank transfer fees, which is again cheap, as paypal takes $5 or 200INR for a check to process,

MONEY BOOKERS, has a lot of advantage over paypal, i will try my best to promote money bookers, cheers!:D

Thats correct. Moneybookers shows the max amount you can withdraw depending on your balance. If your withdrawal limit is less then your balance them max withdraw amount will be your remaining limit.

BUT, you cannot withdraw 240 INR as the minimum amount you can withdraw is INR 685 (or near that amount). From this amount FEE will be deducted and your bank account will be created for INR 585 (or near this amount)

BTW... Have you ever get funds in your bank using moneybookers?? IF NO then don't forget to withdraw minimum amount in first time as a test of your swift code.

Frankly... I don't know... what will happen if you enter wrong swift code.

THanks. (I rated this thread as 5 star. It deserve that.)
