iv been in talks with a guy from india of this forum to have my blog SEO"d, he wants me to pay $150 every month to optimize as many keywords as i want and to maintain my rank on google in the top 10. Do you guys think it is worth it? thanks
depends on keywords he is promising you to rank for ... i think you may learn basics on your own... or if it is wordpress i will optimize for free. i mean i will tell you what to do ...
its for blogger. and they are very competitive keywords such as bodybuilding, can you help me? i know basics i guess already yet i get no traffic at all from search engines....hes being a pain and i want to SEO anyone want offer me a good deal????
think u shld find out what if he fails to put u on the top 10 in a mth? And how long will he guarantee u stay in top 10? $150/mth for top 10 for competitive keywords all the time, i wld say it is not unreasonable.
he will pay me back all the money if he fails, and i will continue to pay the fee to maintan my position or always have it increase....
what does fail mean? you MUST set the criteria EXTREMELY CLEARLY. Does it mean once u fall off the top-10 for 1min, he fails? or what? Good thing also is that, u can measure how much sales it brings u for being in top-10 to see if it is worthwhile retaining his services. At most u lose abit, but u are free to stop anytime, so i guess the down-sides are quite manageable.
if i have 3 whole days where i am not on the top 10 i will get a full refund, and yeah i can see wether my number of clicks and impressions goes up if it is worthwhile i can tell him to stop and look for a different method.... anyone know of any SEO companies?
hmm ...pay him to rank you for first time ... and in that time learn basics your self to maintain it ... and about me... well! i am not really free... atleast not for some more weeks ...
That actually sounds too cheap. Beware of unlimited keywords and promises like that. Any SEO worth a dime will charge more than $150 a month.
nah i trust him, sounds good to me, well i decided to look at things bigger forget just having a blog and now the same guy is designing my website, forum for me and i will link it with my blog so maximising my chance for making money and also im in talks with a guy who makes supplements on lmerging his online shop with my supersite and then i take a small cut from every sale he makes + my ad sense revenue sounds good no?
I see a red flag when you said optimising for 10 keywords, select one or two via some good solid keyword research using Word Tracker. We operate like this: 50% up front - On-page SEO, keyword research, link building, content creation. 25% when the site is on the first page of G 25% when the site is in position 1, 2 or 3 +Monthly fee to continue rolling out ideas for link building and content. However, our fee's and considrably higher than $150/month! he seems legit i hope he is! and well he will charge me $200 a month after month 2 and then keep it at that to maintain it. which is reasonable for me! hopefully i can achieve a rank higher then 10!
He's crazy to agree to a full refund if your rankings drop for 3 full days. Things change all the time and every so often Google reverts back to older indexes which can throw a site back a few pages for like a week, or more. When I see this happen to any of my sites I just sit and wait. Sure enough they come back to where they were without having to lift a finger. And if its a significant algorithm change, 3 days is hardly enough time to change tactics and rectify things. If he agrees to a 3 day limit he is either foolish, or has no plans of refunding any money.
jalal90, which may seems reasonable to you may seem not so reasonable to other SEOs of this forum SEO you want to hire put himself in very risky situation and if it's true and he is honest than he simply never get any money from any client

no that 3 day thing was my proposal i was asking you if i should say 3 days to him and then a refund i havnt discussed it with him i will befor ei make a payment though, what length of time do you think is reasonable after which i should ask for a refund? a week? 2 weeks? its actually a proper business http://www.nathinfosolutions.com/ legit or no? hes making me an entire site, with a forum, and intigrating my blog and SEO for 2 keywords for $600 and then $200 a month afterwards for a top 10 rank in google. Not reasonable?
ok i spoke to him, if i drop frm the top 10 for more then 20 days i get a 95% refund for that month, seems ok to me......
hmm... -a pr2 website built in 2006 -not ranking first 30 ranks for one of the key phrases on his title -Giving huge promises about a system that he never have control on.(a new algoritm update) rings the alarm bells for me.
I've yet to find one of these guys who can actually PROVE what they say they can do. I made the mistake of paying in the past. I went with a USA company. Months and months later I finally did get a refund. If you believe you'll get your money back then .... well good luck to you. If someone really was good enough to do what they say they are going to do why would they waste time on mom and pop stuff. They would be doing it for themselves and their own sites and you would never hear of them.
