Does anyone agree it might be a good idea to break this up into actual real online business sites for sale and get all the template based image host, file upload, proxy and directory sites you can handle threads.

As I find it increasingly more teadious to look through them all for quality sites.

Maybe even established sites with earnings or traffic and brand new template on just bought domain threads would do :)

    Just a thought.

There's another thread on here regarding this same issue for the LINKS (buy, trade) section...

Would be nice to see SUB cats for the SITES, DOMAINS, LINKS, etc...... :)

I know what you mean :(

    I suggest attaching a poll :)

    - Have sub forums in SITES, DOMAIN, etc sections
    - Leave it as it is

I know I hate spending time looking at junk sites, I also know that sitepoint recently created a premium site section. I think templates, affiliate, and custom sites are very different and that should be clear in sections. For example, if you spend $,$$$ to $$,$$$ on average, you don't want to waste your time looking at 200 sites that claim a predicted PR with real "potential" who earn $1 a month and get 1 hit a day

idea's good, but there's the problem of once it is broken up, what's to prevent people from posting proxies in the 'real business sites' part? i mean, you even see people posting link sales in the main BST forum now.

If it's making the hits and money it says... then it shouldn't be aproblem for proxies to be in certain sections.

But that's what infractions and the mods are here for, is it not?

Well, one good way to tell a good site from a not so good one is revenue. If the site is making $3 a month, probably not that great but if it's making $5,000 a month, ok, then we can talk.

I think the current set up is just fine and is better off that way. IMO

I like it the way it is for now. I voted to leave it as it is, I might have a different opinion at a later date. I like the way people advertise their DP threads inside of their signatures. I think it's a great idea for sales. I have found lots of good things by clicking on the sales links offered in signatures here at Digital Point.

How would it work in practice? What is a "good site" is subjective.

I would class a good site as one that has been set up properly and has either revenue or traffic and not a bought template just thrown on a domain with promises of potential.

SP has "Turnkey sites" and "Established sites" and even new "Premium sites" sections but, I'm not sure if will suit well for DP...
