Hi, Just wondering how you guys feel about this: Picking up domains as soon as they're dropped. Is it wrong because you're kind of stealing them from their old owners? Has anyone ever had a previous owner contact them? Thoughts on this?
Now, this post made me laugh. Besides the fact that it is the owner's responsibility to renew, and God knows these companies start sending out renewal notices months in advance, this is DP....the "hip' forum where it seems the majority brag about using pirated software, trash anything they don't agree with, have dubious business practices, think their shit smells better than everyone else's and blame others for most of their problems......Do you really think they are going to have a problem with you buying expired domain names? Jim
Its not stealing because the old owners had the opportunity to renew and most people let their domains expire only when they dont need it anymore.
Lemme put it like this Doug, A guy buys a domain, he works on it, gets it up to a good pr and search engine rank, when he gives up and lets the domain expire, you guys step in and take over his little baby.
How would you feel if someone snatched your domain before you had a change to review it Think about that. I wouldn't do it personally..
That can never happen. You have a year to renew your domain and if it's important to you, you can renew it for several years. Many companies even give you a grace period so you can renew after it expires. If you wait until your domain expires to renew then that's your issue.
i think it is a damn disgrace , i have only ever done it myself on about !!!! 5 occasions , and it tore me up inside when i was selling them on for a profit lol
I have never picked one up myself. How do you do it? Apparently its quite a mission. I would like to try and see how guilty i would get
If I started to feel a little guilty, I'd just whip my tears away with hundred dollar bills y'all. And I don't play that game because I wouldn't want to have to deal with someone who made a mistake and I'm personally making them pay for it.
