login, As someone who has 27 years experience as a certified teacher, certified therapist and certified counselor supervisor, who has worked in venues from outpatient mental health to inpatient psych unit, I have a big appreciation for others to be able to talk about things that bother them before they grow bigger. I also have a big appreciation for when to tell people to grow up. You sound like a collicly baby who is grasping onto the latest thing to complain about. Hostgator is not your problem. If you have to publish this petty annoyance of yours, you need more then DP...you need a good therapist. Once again, HostGator is not your problem. Your problem runs a lot deeper. BTW, your come back intimating or stating that I don't "care about stuff" is a hoot. You don't have a clue. Jim
Ok, professor. And some people buy big cars as a replacement for their small penis while others have to show off how skilled they are. Hey, I can be a professor too, I like that.
What's your problem? Are you affiliated w/ the company or something? Actually, I've done pretty much nothing but support and recommend HostGator for years. But this on top of other recent complaints just demonstrate bad business decisions. It's not about whining... it's about having certain realistic expectations based on a company's reputation and what you're paying them.
LOL...please don't show your ignorance for basic Freudian Psychology. You brought up the penis issue not me. Are you REALLY telling us that your wanting to be noticed is a penis issue with you? Now, you are making progress. This is much more productive for you than transferring your problems onto HostGator. Jim
No. I am not affiliated with HostGator...except I use their services WITH their new advertising....and you still need to grow up. You ask me what my problem is?...Now, that is a hoot! Jim
Hehe, funny professor. You know, Hostgator is not my problem, ads in my private space is, anywhere they appear. I think that you must be from the US to be so ignorant towards ads. Not ignorant in a negative way, but as a fact, as you are raised with ads in the US. I am from a place where ads are not so dominant in the daily picture and then naturally I appreciate ad free spaces. For me ads are noisy.
Hi login, Finally, some semblance of logic! Now, that makes sense, login! Why didn't you put it that way originally? When I first read, "I think that you must be from the US to be so ignorant towards ads.", I must admit I was ready for a fight! But, your post makes a lot of sense. I only wish other members could be so eloquent in their replies...even when it takes a little "coaxing" on the part of us Devil's Advocates. I understand your "reaction" now to the HostGator ads. But, for other US'ers, I have NO sympathy with their bitching and moaning! Jim
Thats what happens when companies start overselling their space or bw on their servers. I find it disturbing not because i am a host , but cause when i pay for hosting i am not paying for ads to be displayed (there are lots of free web hosting companies if i want ads in my panel). It looks kinda cheap and makes ur control panel look bad. Just my 2 cents of moooaning
cPanel costs? Please... HG are probably paying ~$25/server for their licenses (maybe even less with the hundreds of servers they run). When you consider they have 600+ websites hosted on these servers (using http://whois.domaintools.com/hostgatorreview.org as an example) that's only $0.04/client. They're not doing it to make up the cost of cPanel - it's purely them taking advantage of people new to developping websites and making money of them. If it wasn't a paid service I'd give them a pat on the back, but it is and I don't think they should be making commission off people.
