Making a digg like site and legal issues

I'm trying to make a digg like site related to biology and use pligg.
Digg users link to their website, other people's website, corporate websites like yahoo news and msn news and write a brief abstract or introduction.

    1)
Would writing a brief abstract or introduction to the articles that I'm linking (like yahoo news or other website) be legal?

    2)
If I'm to write a brief introduction, would I need to cite the source (even though the whole point of it to link to the article)?

    3)
Any other legal issues to opening up a digg like site?

Thanks. I'm sure some of the potential digg clone niche webmasters may be curious as well.

Writing a disclaimer and resolving any objections as soon as your receive a complaint, This is the way to go, not much worries actually.

Every single day, Yahoo News will:
    • 'write a brief abstract or introduction to the articles from _____' (many other sources)
    • Then either quote heavily from the source, or link to it.
    • As long as you give proper credit, you should be fine.

    Thank you :)
Digg has a good disclaimer, and if I am to copy the terms of agreement, that is enabling myself to be liable and sued right?

That would be considered plagarism so I'm guessing yes.
