'Lonsdale' pronunciation

Do you pronounce 'Lonsdale' it as in 'London' or as in 'Long'?

Just discussing about with people...

 

As in London -- Lon-s-dale

 

That's how we pronounce it too.. oh dear, I hope we don't start having pronunciation threads lol

 

Lonsdale - there's a good northern (England) name!
Lons-dale is how I'd pronounce it. Emphasis on the 'o' the the same in 'long'. I agree 8everything, we do seem to be a bit caught up in pronounciation today!

 

Does not matter how you pronounce it, its still crap

 

I say lohnsdale but I'm easy if someone goes the other way.

 

I'm sorry to have bothered some of you guys with this thread, but it's not easy to find out elsewhere, particularly when it's a brand.

I still have some doubts but I personally thought it was as in 'London' rather than in 'long'.

It might be debatable until I ring up the company, which I don't think I'm gonna do...
