Does anyone have a list of forums or a link to a site that lists forums that allow sig links? I think a big list would be beneficial to the community of webmasters as long as its not abused for spam purposes.
check on General Marketing or SEO section (I Think) i've saw there a thread with forums that allows forum signatures
NP, DP, Webmaster talk. In Dnforum, you need to become a platinum member to be able to keep your autosignature.
seems to me alot of them dont allow it, maybe about 50/50, depends on the owner, I see no problem with sig links as long as proper conditionals are in place to prevent spam.

Personally I think all forums should allow signature links, providing they are not affiliate links. Can't see any reason why not? It's like a perk of contributing on the forums. Gary
I've been on several that don't. Thier reason is that it contributes to spam. With no signatures they don't need as much moderation. There was a fairly large debate about this on one forum I was using, they finally desided on using No Follow, and I left.
That's a very obnoxious solution to the problem. How can you check to see whether the forum has a No Follow attribute, and is it fair to say that the majority of forums that allow signatures do not have a no follow?
Right click on a page with sig links, choose view page source and find an anchor tag (link). if you see no follow then they use it. In most cases they will not do this in the robots.txt or page header on forums because they want other links followed.
