How do you report sites using bad/spam techniques to google? case in point: http://www.go-fish.co.uk/ not exactly sophisticated but still ahead of me in the serps! Notting
Correct me if I'm wrong... but you want to remove his site from the index (SERP), based on the fact that his AdSense is against the TOS?
You can always just get a life. If it's ahead of you in the serps, than focus on your site to make it better.. You'll never get anywhere constantly bitching. He's using hidden text. At the bottom of the page highlight the bottom.
Exactly my point. How about you focus on providing great online experience and ignore the peers that stray away from the right path? Do you really think it's worth worrying about a site like that? More to the point... aren't you wasting time that you could use to make a much more competetive service and may be get on top 3 results?
While the others may be dead on about how you should or should not lead your life, they didn't really answer your question. There are 2 spam report pages, but Google gives precedence to the one you find when you log into Google Webmaster Central. Expand the box labled "Tools", and click on the link that says "Report spam in our index". Do make sure though that you mention in the report that the reason you are filing it is because they outrank you. Also, just so you know, if you want a more sympathetic ear when bitching about spammers, you should hang with the self righteous crowd of Doug Heil and his cronies over at ihelpyou. Their main focus seems to be, from what little time I spent perusing over there, bitching about what they consider to be black hatters, and patting each other on the back for holier-than-thou seo tactics. -Michael
What would you consider BH for this site? They only have 12 BLs from Google, and even yahoo only shows 1,200. This hardly seems like spamming. It's not terribly difficult to build 10,000+ BLs as shown by Yahoo, but if you have specifics as to why you think they are doing something unscrupulous, I'd love to see. Anita
Anita, go to the site in question, scroll to the bottom of the page, and hit CTRL-A. Tell me what you see. -Michael
Hi people Asen Kovachev - Yup you were wrong. Red rep given lordmenace - Or you could get a life. Red rep given lordmenace - Good point! . Green rep given Kaptain Kangaroo - You're just a plain idiot. Red rep given mvandemar - Wahey! Someone who knows the answer! - Cheers, Green rep given. Anita - Hi! Nice to meet you. No rep given. This thread has been a bit expensive for me in red reps. Where did all these newbie adsense muppets come from? Cheers Notting
Sorry, how about you get off your high rock. Who the hell are you to tell me when, how, or how much to work. cheeky little F........ Also don't you think is wise to tell google about sites that are spamming? That is what google want you know. Or do you like looking at spammy SERPs?
Yes it is wise. But they don't seem to take action. I report many bad SERPs myself. I just got frustrated with the many many threads about specific results. That's all. Why make fuss about it? Report it and move along... Unless you want it to be mass reported. But we've seen on many occasions that this doesn't seem to make a difference either. (I mean many DP users reporting.) Bottom line is no matter what we do Google tries to address the problems on a global scale and fix their algorithms, they barely allow human to override the "big daddy's" decision. Edit: by the way aside from the bad "black on black links" there is another problem - AdSense + Popup ads. I am almost certain that's against TOS... Cheers!
that person is using blackhat seo and get the ranking but this ranking is not for long time. just check your site and study the week point of your site and try to improve it. see if he is using BH than he will definitely panelized by google just keep that on google.u concentrate on your site's improvements thats all. all the best u will be on top if u will done good SEO.
Asen, no offense, but he didn't make a fuss. The only thing he did was ask where to go in order to report it. Yes, he did actually point out the site in question in the thread... but he didn't really do anything that would qualify as "make a fuss". -Michael
LOL, funny thread, but I say f#ck these a$$holes! The rules are for everyone... at least in Google Report it over here :http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html or via you webmaster panel
