I wonder which would be more acceptable in a submitters eyes... the recip option or a payment option. I bet people will purchase links more than add a recip (because they want a 1-way link and they dont want, or cant add the recip on their own site)... but I could be wrong! (This is a free-recip vs. a payment link)
Free and Paid are to different class of submitters... Free ....have no fear of doing whatever they choose to add to your directory as they will target areas they know they shouldnt be but yet they will to see if they can get away with it or to some extent get over... NOT ALL but in general refrence... Trust me ive tried everything and things that you wouldnt ever catch Paid ...are more laid back and are very choosy with whom they wish to spend thier finances on.... sometimes they arent even interested in what your offering but enjoy helping that directory owner that goes the extra mile for them and they remember those nice things you did, like when they submitted 2 sites that are regular links and you upgraded 1 off them to fetaured for them ... Or they simply know that you will take them and thier sites to the top as your effort will pay off. NOW... when you change over... traffic is gone and so are the free birds, you will still have those that come buy and see if youve decided to go free again and will wait for you to drop the gates so they can submit or they are seeing if your even worth the price of admission.. BUT... if your good then you lose that traffic at first but then regain it after youve made some type of noticable acomplishment... thx malcolm
I was wondering if you have one site for recip's, you can add a link to it along with the rel="nofollow" tag, so that way it'll still be a 1-way link? Would this technique work out?
not sure if the program checks for nofollow tags, but i'm pretty sure the recipient will not be very happy to find out that u have put a nofollow tag, which kind of defeats the purpose of him asking for a reciprocal link rite?
