Two accounts managed from same IP

I would like to sign up my wife for an adsense account, but I have heard people got banned when they signed into their accounts from the same IP.
Is that still the case? What about those of you who have a business with separate tax id? Are you signing in from the same IP to your personal accounts?
    Has anyone gotten banned?

why do you want 2 accounts, you both stay at same place I guess
So just you 1 Adsense account and stay out of the risk of getting yourself banned

I think Google will not allowed 2 accounts from same IP. I think you should use only account for your sites.
You can use it on many websites.

Their is no problem in signingup and running 2 Adsense account on different names on a single ip. But if one of your account will be ban other will be ban too.

Simple: Smartpricing. I have Adsense on one site and that one gets a decent CTR. When I put it on other sites, the overall revenue goes down, even though I get more than double the traffic and clicks with the two sites together.
So I have YPN running on other sites, but YPN performs abysmal.

Also my wife has her own sites and why shouldn't she be able to use her own Adsense account?

Hm. I will probably register a business this year anyways.
I know that lots of people have multiple accounts, especially those with businesses (one personal and one biz). I was wondering how they manage those without getting banned then?
What if I run several businesses?
For accounting reasons alone it would make sense to have multiple accounts (taxes ...) that you cannot mix into one.

    LOL.

Simply email adsense and ask, we are just webmasters... and no one can give you a definite OK unless they asked the same question and got a reply back themselves :)

I don't see a reason to ban adsense account because of same IP too... but if you doubt in people words, ask adsense directly.

I suspect that if you have different names and are cashing out to different bank accounts there should not be a problem, but it would be a good idea to email Google and let them know what is going on.

Thanks guys. I will ask them and see what they have to say about it.

I understand that. I was under the assumption that many of you had done this already and know how this works.

Oh, yeah some people probably have, search turnt up a couple of threads....

Maybe it's just me :) But I wouldn't trust anything unless I had a email from google stating it was OK.

Then IF anything does happen (not saying it will) you have their email to sort of fall back on.

Yes, but in any case this is very useless if they decided not to answer any email from you anymore, as was the case with my girlfriend's account when she's been outted definitively from Google for a wrong reason, as I wrote it in a thread on DP. They would never write back to her, whatever she was writing, we even got the help from a seasonned adsense user here on DP to write the final letter, but still no reaction from them.
You can have whatever you want, email, signed stuffs from the president of the US, if they closed dialogue, you're stuck.

But about the topic of this thread, yes you can safely open 2 accounts on the same ip, but ask them to be sure for yourself.
