    My business has been in top 10 for a while now using a few keywords. I remember launching my site back in December and I achieved results quickly because I took care of my coding and made it semantic - makes it easier for search engines to index.

    Also, the correct use of headings helps a lot!

    Incidentally I am #1 out of 27 million :rolleyes: for 'love blogspot' which means nothing because no one ever searches for that. And I mean NO ONE!

    I have 6-8 in most of the keywords Im targetting, Im getting beaten by a few sites that are older or have bigger budgets.

    Ive made the top for numerous keywords but I think the most competitive one that I reached and still hold is for "Music Lyrics".

    Dont think my word is hard.. but it has 256 Million results lol.
    Search "little money", although i rank #1 in google i get maybe 15 visitors from the search engines a day.

    My site is only 2 weeks old and is in my signiture. I wanted to get #1 for "forum admin forum". I am now #2 but #1 is unrelated. Today when I checked searching for "admin forum" I am #8. I dont even have a pagerank and wasent expecting to get anything good for "admin forum".

    It is not difficult to get ranking in any search engine as i got ranking one of my site within 2 days only.
    but it is very difficult to maintain that ranking.we have to take care of lots of things if our site is new.

    ranking number 2 in yahoo for a very competitive term, ranking 1-3 in google for some very competitive terms and i guess it took almost 7-8 months. I might have got this position earlier if i had big pockets.
