People are posting all the bad things about vista ect, you will have to wait im sure windows is fixing bugs as fast as they can it will be stable soon just like windows xp when it first came out it also had bugs but then windows released updates to fix them so they will do the same with vista. Just gotta wait.

It's already stable. I haven't encountered any problems besides program compatibility.

Upgraded my laptop to 2GB DDR2 (C'mon.. gotta be enough for vista?) and still plays up.. Brand new Laptop, Dual Core AMD 2.7Ghz 64Bit..

If they already have new ideas for the next OS, then why didn't they include them in Vista... That means that they didn't make vista as good as they possibly could which sucks, but I must say. I don't care :] Mac OS X ftw :]

Why should Microsoft care about the next OS now ? They are gonna be spending lots of time debugging Vista.

Plus, they seem to be spending a fortune on promoting their new Vista.
I doubt they are working on a new OS at this point.

I am using Vista for about a month now. it is fine, not amazing. Looks slicker and is kind of cool, but is also a hog on memory, processor and video card.

When you really get down to it, I don't think it really enhances my productivity that much. It is nicer to look at.

I've always felt like in need to be able to make a difference between a windows explorer window and an internet explorer window. With the Vista every window looks like a webpage. I am running my XP with the classic theme, no distracting colours or needless effects...

after vista, microsoft will probably stop making operating systems.
I'm tired of microsoft, so much time lost cleaning up and reinstalling XP, antivirus, anti spyware, registry cleaner, etc. A lot of my friends request my help to fix their windows xp, i'm just tired, i will tell to all of them to stay out of memory wasting vista. If they want something else than xp which need to be reinstalled every 2 months, which can get viruses by doing nothing ( only to connect to internet ), i will tell them to try something else.

I'm going to wait until vista is 1) more stable and compatabile 2) cheaper.

In my opinoin, linux and open source will be a HUGE contest with mircrosoft by the time they roll out another OS.
