    rank easier/faster because they are owned by Google?

    I know this has been discussed before, but I cannot for the life of me find the thread anywhere.

    Most people on here seem to think so. In my own experience I can get PR4 within 2 or 3 months without breaking a sweat! It could be argued that Google has a natural bias towards Blogger and Google Pages because they know the content inside out.

    it is a bit bias, but still it is fair!

    if you use a blogspot blog, you can get into adsense quick!
    if you have a blog you get into google's index faster, though it still needs seo skills, my blogspot blogs are indexed in 7 days by google.

    uttora..i guess i broke ur record..i got indexed within 1 and half day..

    i dont think google love blogspot blogs more than others..but it maybe some kind of structural difference which let them stand out..not sure but maybe

    My non-blogspot blogs/websites get indexed by Google in less than 7 days :p

    Anyway, I think they just have to follow the same rules and don't rank higher altough they might get accepted faster for AdSense.

    No, google see your blogspot the same as other site. It doesn't mean that if you're using blogger you can get a better ranking. Your good ranking in google would depend on how you optimized your blog just like in your site.

    Something like 75% of blogspot blogs are spam so a lot of people won't click on them in the search results and its harder to get bloggers to link to them.

    You are better using your own domain.

    I have a blog on blooger.com for last 2 year n it is still PR0 although it has more quality content then my other blog hosted on blogsome.com which is PR3 with less content.

    So, Google doesn't prefer blogger to anyone. There is no humar intervention.

    They CAN do better just because they're on the established domain, as opposed to a new domain..

    And I've found they get listed in the blog search faster.

    I don't think that Google gives any preference to Blogspot blogs because most of them are spam and that would then diminish the quality of their search results...
