Get some swiss bones for bearings. Not the China reds; they break easily.
MiniLogo wheels are cheap and the best. Rictas and spitfires get flatspots.
Get some Indy trucks and you're ready to go.
As far as shoes go, try some Ipaths. They grip well and last for a long time.

    My favorite setup:

    Black Label/Zero deck (7.625")
    Grind King trucks
    Some riser pads
    54mm Powell wheels
    Black Panther Abec 7 bearings
    Shorty's Silverado hardware
Fallen Jamie Thomas shoes (had them, lasted an entire season :p my shoes usually last me a month or two)

I had these iPaths a little while ago:

They lasted under a month. Just my experience, but they weren't really build to last.

They make semi-casual shoes as well, so you have to pick the right models.

I have a consolidated deck, thunder trucks, and abec 5 pig bearings, and spitfire wheels, and adio shoes.

    Works good for me :)
