Thank you Britain. Thank you for not disappoing me.

Britain could have avoided the risk of a war with Iran, appologised and get back it's soldiers but it didn't.

If the Brits had backed down not only the hard liners inside Iran would have become stronger but also all Islamic fundamentalists around the middle east. Hamas in Ghaza, Hizbollah in Lebanon, Sadr and Hakim in Iraq and many others around the globe was waiting for the moment of victory of mullas to gear up their propaganda machine.

I hope the world undrestands now that the only language that mullahs undrestand is the language of "deadline" and iron fist.

Exactly, i would of hated to see a trade between US/Iran to get the troops released or even an admission from the UK that those troops were in Iranian waters.

UK did a great job this time & those crazy b*astards in Iran know they can't get away with whatever they want now.

Wow, this is heavy stuff for a webmasters forum.

    I would say one thing.

Most of the worlds problems are caused by mis-informed and mis-led individuals.

We are all here for a finite time, so why does mankind waste it with war?

We are all entitled to our own opinion, BUT that does not give us the right to impose that on others.

My Congrats and Raised Glass to the Brits!

And let me take a firm stand here...since I don't tend to bull shit....

As an American, I am Proud to Stand By You as You Stand By Us England. To HELL with our detractors. To HELL with France. To HELL with Germany. France has a history of being two-faced. And, Germany has long forgotten how we helped rid them of Hitler and rebuilt them into a world contender. To HELL with the UN...we should have kicked them out of NYC long ago. What a waste of good oxygen! To HELL with our EXTERNAL detractors and critics wherever they may be. You know why? Nio matter what our problems may be, we still have the best society to live in! No one has it as good as an American, and you are all fugin jealous. Yes, let me call the spade a spade.

We may have our own INTERNAL CRITICS, who can be quite severe, but that is what our country was formed on....FREEDOM OF SPEECH. And, while I and many others may disagree with many of my fellow Countryman, and they with me and us, we still have the damned best place on the face of the earth to live. Just because we can criticize our own in any damned fashion we please, does not give every whacko from another country the same right. That is reserved for us Americans...who have earned the right. You only think you know the American mind.

Hope there is no confusion as to where I stand...... ;)

    Ah....that felt good!

where did the usa and iran come into this fight with the uk and iran over uk troops?
the only thing the usa would do to get involved, if the uk were to strike iran, would be for the usa to relieve our troops and ships so we could go kick ass ourselves, not with the usa,

the uk might have one of the smallest armed forces, but think of this,
    the uk forces is:
one of the few highly trained proffesional forces on the plannet.
one of the most tech advanced forces on the plannet.
one of the most battle ready forces, having troops in conflict zones world wide for the last 100 years without a break.
one of the toughest trained forces to get into.

iran has over 1 million men under arms, the uk has about 300,000, even fighting on iran soil i know who i would put my money on, and they eat bacon for breakfast every day ;)

    nothing new there:rolleyes:

wasn't there an Iranian prisoner released from iraq just before the british prisioners were released. Sounds an awful lot like a trade, but maybe it's just a coincidence.

Iran would love to persuade others that they were connected.

He was kidnapped and released by a "noname" group. This happens in Iraq every day - except the times that the kidnappee is killed -

Mullahs claimed that US forces had kidnaped him but nobody took them seriously. They put the blame of everything on US. He was probably kidnapped by mistake by one of it's own supported groups in Iraq.
