I've saw them a couple times here on Digital Point, but most of the time the ads on this site remain to be the old ones too.

They've shown up occasionally on mine but I think that was still the testing phase. The jury is still out on them as far as I'm concerned. I may have to do a little reworking of format on a few pages so the tab doesn't stand out so obscenely lol...Right now, the solid area fit into my scheme better, but who am I to stand in the way of progress.

I think the new ads will help increase CTR. The appearance changed a little, and so users who are browsing the site are more drawn to attention by them than your standard ad.

I'm thinking CTR will drop...mostly because the trickery people have used in the past to "blend" the adds won't work this time.

That may be the intent all along. I don't care if CTR drops, if it does, it may be because only people who truly are interested in the ads are clicking (which is what I try to go for)

If that happens, the quality of traffic being directed by the clicks should improve, and thus the CPC will increase leading to better earnings which is what is the bottom line.

Edited: The ads are showing up constantly now. I've regenerated the ad code with a slight alteration in colors and it doesn't look horrible, in fact, the Ads by Google is barely noticeable. Have to keep an eye on and see how it goes.

It blends very well into one of my sites and CTR is up even though CPC is down :( I like it alot. Infact i really like it. Still looks like an ad block, but a bit less 'HEY LOOK THIS IN ADVERT' and more 'hey i'm advert, but i'm a pretty stylish one'

I wouldn't get too excited about CTR (or depressed about CPC) after just a few hours :)

This will no doubt trigger a surge of changes for most content sites that blend the designs closely into their sites to improve CTR. I'm not afraid to let people know that they are clicking on an ad, tricking them only makes them hate you...I know I never click back after accidently clicking an ad. Matching colors is enough for me... most of the time anyway.
