Question about change permissions on phpld install

When changing permissions for the install of phpld, do you also tick the boxes for the following two options during that process?

seperately set file and folder attributes <--
apply changes to all subfolders and files <--


Or do i leave those boxes unchecked?

 

you dont want to set permissions to sub folders and/or files, but you do want to have the 1st checked.

On some server setups, you dont even have to change anything.

If i remember correctly, you will be changing permissions to
/tmp
/tmp/all three folders.

And most importantly, you need to change include/config.php back to 444.

Thats right, changing permissions in the tmp folders.

After installing i changed include/config.php to 755 as it said to do that in the install docs, i read on phpld forum to change it back to 444 but it was on a thread for version 2 so i was unsure if it should be 444.

Ive installed version 3, would you still recommend that i change include/config.php to 444 Fastian?

 

Yes. You must change permissions to 444.
Config.php should'nt be write able by other users.
