One of my pet peeves is the useless forum title or subject. What am I do make of "This is a doozy", "Help!!!!!", "Big Problem", "Has any body seen this". Does this bug you? Are you guilty of it?

Basically the title is what attracts people. So the OP inorder to attract more people to his thread, will always have such a title.

    Human nature :D

Do you the posts with the "What am I missing here" subject lines? I usually think the poster needs to get a "Web Forums for Dummies" book. I don't think they are using a clever tactic to get more people to read their post.

was about to post a similar thread when search turned up this.

usually i ignore titles like "help" (help what? in labor?), "take a look" (better have a damn good reason for me to click), "?" (believe me i've seen this one before).

here's a dumb title for a thread. here's another one.

Those are good bad subject lines. I also like the words and phrases used in the first post : "coz, abt, gd knldge abt, plz, pple".

Is it that hard to mix in vowels in each word, I realize it's 2.9% more typing but jeeez!
