I'm using IE right now and it feels so weird without the tabs option.... I'm so dependant on it (FF is kind of acting up and freezing on me right now) I have a million windows open too!

Anyone have this problem when switching to FF to IE??? (umm I'm also running the old IE version)

Not facing any such problem with FF
How about using Opera as a alternative ??

Use Netscape, Opera both have Tabs but not as good as Firefox ;)
    How about Reinstalling FF ?
Uninstall FF and Clean your Registry with Registry Clean and then Install it again
I think this one should work

The same thing occured to me once as well; I couldn't use FF for a couple of days so I used Safari.
I turned my router off and turned it back on and it was fine.

Well aside from all of FF's advantages, the disadvantage is the amount of RAM usage.

To run FF a little smoother, simply remove some processes.

Go here: Firefox (FAQ) Help or go here: FIREFOX Support and see if anyone else has posted a similar problem... You can also sign up and post your problem and someone will help you...

The Opera part of that statement is false. Unless I am missing something, and considering that i've been using tab browsing in Opera for 8 years or so, how is the Opera tabs not as good as FF?

FALSE! I think Opera can hang speedwise, I used it for a (me love you) long time before I hit the FF train. Unfortunately that train derailed on account of Ram issues

I run IE, FF & Opera, IE is the slowest by far and I really can't tell the difference between FF & Opera as far a speed... I prefer FF because I started out using Netscape 1.0 way back when and when FF came out I switched...

That again is a false statement.

    Opera is the fastest browser.
Some sites worthwhile having a look at - http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html (a bit old but does cover to FF 2 and Opera 9)
    http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1990855,00.asp
    http://celtickane.com/projects/jsspeed.php

If you have the same number of tabs open (same websites as well) on Opera, Firefox and IE 7, Opera uses the least memory of the lot.

I love FF, but I do have to say that Opera runs faster for me most of the time.

IE makes me laugh every time I see IE with tabs... back when IE didn't have tabs I was reading a Microsoft statement say that tab browsing was the worst idea ever for browsers and would confuse users... Then they came out with tabs browsing and proclaimed it as the most efficient way to surf multiple pages at once and that it made your desktop more organized.
