I use alexa widget, but why my alexa rank drop?

    Since i use alexa widget, my alexa rank drop.

    Why?

    Any one can explain me ?

    At the first time i use alexa widget, my site get rank about 467,780. And now... my site get drop to 681,590. Only about a month.
    And my traffic get biggest one at March 22nd since my site launched.

    Please.. tellme why?

    the site widget works on websites were your true traffic rank is not being represented by Alexa. If you install the widget it will report your true traffic back to Alexa, because it is able to monitor every visitor. Otherwise, Alexa relies on the visitors with the toolbar installed. When visitors with Alexa toolbars installed visit your site it tabulates the visitor and also adds a few more visitors to compensate for people who have visited your site without a toolbar installed. The reason why this is done, is because less than 10% of the general public use the Alexa Toolbar. What you are seeing is probably your true rank like it or not.     many links on the web leading to the alexa site widget page do contain already a website-name ( URL )

    make sure you really insert your OWN website in the site widget javascript code
    else
    you contribute to OTHER site's or "yoursite.com" traffic instead of your own stat
    if unsure
    check your alkexa site widget code
