I've got a laptop that I use for my online work. Needless to say, it is filled with personal data, and were I to lose it, I'd be up a creek, sans paddle. What type of protection do you guys use? *looking for free options in particular* thanks
I just use a user account password and that's about it. I never store valuable information in my laptop
RoboForm, Siber Systems. Easy and Secure password manager. Remembers passwords, logs you into web sites and fills forms with one-click Usually, in my mind i have 13 passwords total yet
Don't have a laptop but will get it in a few days... Password protection? Normal user account password BUT for very important data - DriveCrypt, excellent software!
Just out of curiosity, I didn't notice anyone listing the.... touch password thing? (I don't know the technical name for it) but it scans your thumb and sees if it's you that's trying to get in,... high tech stuff!
I've sold many laptops with fingerprint reader and I never got feedback that anyone actually uses it...
I use a hyp--allergenic cryptometric scamblizing symmetrical splining device for my laptop password. It's kinda complex. Col
i dont have one, (ive got about 3 PCs instead lol) BUT, wouldnt XPs own features do? if everything else fails, get a free application thats like a text editor but saves the data in it encrypted. like you get on your mobile phone.
i dont see why ppl use the user password on windows... you can bypass that easily.... if your that worried about it you should get something better.... btw what the heck do you ppl have on your laptops that needs to be that secure? dont keep it on your laptop then...
i use face detection technology in my Lenovo laptop.....No one other then me can log in without detecting ma face....
