Do you drive manual or automatic cars ? I've driven manual for 8 years, and recently got an automatic. I must say, the comfort is there...if you're lazy, but I still prefer the manual. How do you feel ?
Everyone should know how to drive a manual shift car. What if you are out with a friend in their manual shift car and something happens to them? Will you just let them die because you can't drive a stick shift? I personally think it should be part of the testing to get your DL.
I know a few people who can drive both, but that's a good point... it could be a part of your drivers license but I think we need lots of proof that they cause deadly accidents before the goverment would do anything about it.
I miss driving a manual . I recently got a new car, but I could not find it in manual because it has "tiptronic", which they SAY can be driven as either auto or manual, but it's just not the same. My left foot still automatically goes for the clutch whenever I slow down... My next car will definately be 100% manual.
I drive an automatic car. All my past vehicles have been automatic for the past 15+ years now. Though I did learn how to drive on a standard and used it to do my driving test back in the day. To this day I still use both feet to drive. I guess I'm still looking for that clutch... LOL!
Manual - it makes life slightly easier in the UK because if you pass a test on a manual car you can drive an automatic, but not vice versa. Manual transmission is also cheaper!
Since traffic is a disaster in my country, then driving manual is gets ugly. I rather drive manual, but you always have to adapt to your country. So my cars are all automatics.
