    Hi Guys
I am thinking of getting myself a Busa from my online ventures before I pass out from college. Well, I am sure I can get that kind of money, but I am not sure how much I would need .

On Suzuki website they say it costs - $11150 (2007 edition) , but I know the Indian govt puts a huge import duty on such superbikes.
Does anyone of you know how much it is as of now & any projections how much it will be 3 years from now (that is when I complete my engg.)

I have heard it is 180% , 120% & 100% from different sources , I am not sure what is the exact figure.

Please help me out . Also, if someone from DP has used a Hayabusa , let me know how it feels to get your ass on it :)

    Thanks
    Ishan

Wow, so it is Rs.13,00,000 . Huge, but well, could be affordable after some hardwork. Its dated 2006 though, any changes in Import Duty during this budget ?

I wonder why Indians are crazy about Hyabusa? Is it cuz John Abraham owns it? I have tried http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/SV650SK7/Default.aspx (friend owns one), http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/GSXR750K7/Default.aspx (thought of buying one and had a test ride), and tried - http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/GSXR1000K7/Default.aspx

SV 650 is amazing on the road. R1000 is unnecessarily heavy bike but it runs amazing on race track - such fast bike is totally useless on normal roads.

Test rides are fun only when you get to do the right thing - throttling up to 110 Mph - of course only on a race track - I would not dare go that fast on a normal US Interstate - not safe for such high speed - not at least for a two wheeler - I have seen cars go that fast though. Speaking of my experience - I test rode all the bikes in a closed course - amazing experience when you turn at 80-90 mph - better remember those knee caps.

So buying Hyabusa for India - where the heck are you going to throttle up that fast? Bombay - Pune Expressway is one road I can think but I have been through that road just once, I wouldn't go crazy fast on that road - not on two wheels.

Well, its only the Bombay-Pune Expressway at the moment. Hopefully we will get more such roads in India in the next 3 years.
