I have the opportunity to purchase a text link ad from a PR10 website that gets over 1 million pageloads per day. It will cost me over $3,000 USD per month. Is this a decent price for a text-link-ad one a page such as this?
Sorry, I can't say who it is. But are you serious....you think that over $3k is a good deal? Why? What price do you think they should be asking?
DP members wants $70-80 for a PR 6 page. and there a lot of PR 6 pages. but you can not find a PR 10 text link normally.if they sell links like that, they can not be PR 10.but if you found a site like that, $3000 is cheap. because if your site has enough backlinks(PR0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9), site will be PR 8-9 when you buy that PR 10 link. and if you have a PR 8-9 url, you can earn $100000/month. i think it is really very cheap.
are you sure about the nofollow thingie? Check w3c for example, you can have a link there, but it's a nofollow.
Are you looking for higher pr or better ranking for your site? I am a firm believer pr has no correlation to ranking well for your targeted keywords If the site is not relevant to your site, unless you are looking to resell links based on a higher pr, I would use my resources on more relevant purchases

I'm starting to wonder if link buying is closely related to gambling? That is silly money! Buyers are not gonna to be looking at pagerank etc.!
that link if you are added,... will just about gaurrente make your site PR7-8 alone... Need i say more if your chasin PR? the traffic is a perk.. i guess its really depending on your site..... as traffic is worthless to an audience thats not interested in what you offer if its the wrong niche..... regardless good luck... thx malcolm
What do you mean StatCounter is banned? Where did you hear that? When you say banned, you do mean from propogating PR?
I agree with Loannet. PR has no value for site to rank on any SE. Lots of site rank on page 1 of every major SE without any good PR. If it's relevant to you in some way then go for it else think you are spending 3k pm for what Just a PR.
