How to promote article through social bookmarking

I'm trying to learn how to promote my article through social bookmarking sites. can anyone point me in the right direction or provide any advice on this?

Also - you might want to use a service like onlywire.com (free) that allows you to submit to a lot of social bookmarking sites for free with one click.

you should check out something like bookmarkz.net as well - they have a java script you can generate for your site that has almost 90 or so social bookmark sites.

also - make a free account at searchbigdaddy.net and post your bookmarks there.

a lot of social bookmarking sites use the rel=nofollow site.

 

Just submit it with any of those sites (onlywire.com or bookmarkz.net), you can get more visitors from them. Although some of them use "nofollow" tag, you may get handful of visitors by direct entry from these sites.

 

Promoting articles through social bookmarking is quite easy. First write a good article. Then submit it to sites like onlywire.com and others. But it doesn't bring much traffic.

Some do yes - and some just have it so the robots don't follow it - but from experience and checking the logs - I know that traffic does come from these sites to ours.

We get more traffic from Search Engines than we do social bookmarking sites.
