Is godaddy a good registrar or what ? I just registered a domain with them , but it still not shown into my daddy account. Weird thing is that.. when i do a whois on this domain, it shows registered by enom till 2015 !
hmm, I personally wouldn't go with godaddy... there too packed and sometimes the support tech is slacky.
I remember with the .EU gold rush they really did a very poor job and charged me over 1000 USD for domains they were unable to reg. Took weeks to get my money back.
no problems with godaddy here, i've got a fair amount of domains with them as well as transferred a lot.
Hmm.. I have lost 5 domains out of about 400 I have bought from them .. For some odd reason in 2006 that happened a lot for a month ...and then you would get an email stating that it is taken ..crazy... Some times I swear they would buy it when I requested it. Anyway I have had that happen ..in 2007 T
Hey, once again eNom appears in an obscure maneuver. I've been closely watching its mischievous activities since awhile and that is why of this comment. But indeed, Godaddy has a terrible support service, however once that you get in touch with someone (may take hours or even a couple of days via email), people help you to solve almost any trouble. As per the nameservers, it takes longer than anywhere else get your nameservers resolved but eventually. After registering a domain, Godaddy confirms your transaction via email and if your chosen names were not registered instantly they will let you know asking to wait for a second email that will confirm either succesful registration or refund if failed.

Nowadays a few seconds make all the difference in the world. That's why registrars input a term in their contracts that goes like, "we'll give your money back if we failed to register the domain name for you. But please contact us if you haven't received it yet." No one can guarantee you'll get the domain name you want, but they'll at least try. I can't begin to tell you how many people I've dealt with who demanded that we get that domain name for them rather than refund, then threaten us with suit when we can't do what they want.
