The Number 13

Do you guys think the number 13 is bad? I heard its not....

So the poll question here is would you live in anything numbered 13 ex. House number is 13

 

This really doesn't matter to me. I remember when I was in Prague 10 years ago, I was in room number 13 on the 13th floor of the hotel. And I survived

 

I have used it as my lucky number for years. The reason it became unlucky was because The Knight Templars were targeted for attack to wipe them out on Friday the 13th. It has became a superstious number after that. I have a sister in law is so bad that if the number 13 is on anything she won;t touch it. We joke with that when her kid hits 13, they will have to skip that year. She is also is scared of Gnomes and the number 666. Each to their own I guess.

 

Number 13 is not bad. Lance Mackey won the Iditarod this year wearing number 13.

His father and his brother both won in past years wearing number 13.

 

Here's my 13 story.

I had my daughter on a Thursday the 13th. Her first B-day was Friday the 13th. I was pretty young then so it really bothered me. What bothered me the most was that I picked the day because I had to have her C-section. (It was the next available day)

So now she is 16 and last October 13th, she got her drivers license for the first time. Her ball number has always been 13, she became rebellious when she was 13, 13 is the number of kids she says she would like to have (She has a lot to learn), and her cell phone digits are 1313.

Is that some funny stuff or what?

She thinks it is her lucky number and she might be right!

I say its good luck! The parliment in my hometown use to have 13 stairs, 13 lamps, 13 everything 'cause they thought it was good luck, why not?

I'm 13 on my b/f's speed dial (his choice, he doesn't have 13 speed dials). He says its his lucky number. So its not a bad thing

 

if its a new house i am buying i wont take of this number, if i am staying in a 13 no house already its ok.

 

I don't care about that, if something is 13 or not. I never had any problem with 13 so I like it

There's nothing wrong with the number 13. Almost all buildings in the world have no 13th floor though.

something to note though, some hotels don't have a 13th floor

 

It doesn't matter either way. 13 is just a number. One day someone just decided that that number was bad and for some reason people stuck with it. It could just have well been the number 2.
