Anyone play movies using the Memory Card on Your PSP

Just looking for advice on playing movies through the memory card on the PSP. I would never buy one of those but someone (Starts with an upper case G ;) ) sent me one for free. So I figure I might as well get some use out of it.

I have loads of DVDs I have yet to watch but never had a way to when flying. Can I convert them and watch them using the Memory Card? The instructions say I can but its only 32 Meg.

    What are people doing?

edit: I just saw they have 4GB sticks on eBay - So that would take care of the size, now how do I get my DVD on there in a readable format?

Cool, I just bought a 4GB card and Magic DVD Ripper (It has a PSP option on the pulldown menu).

Now I just need to buy 3 more batteries

Thats a good point about the batteries. I havent used my PSP for a while, but seem to remember they last at least through 1 film but I cannot remember if they last through 2.

I found the Xmas Doctor Who on Youtube that I missed (The whole thing). I found this site: http://vixy.net/ which converts it to mp4 with just the url.

I just watched it on my PSP...Pretty awesome

I was in the same situation as you, although I won a PSP via a competition. I know you've already found some software, but if you're interested I came across this free one, pspvideo9 (can't post live link yet, but if you search google for it it'll be PR1).

I've never needed anything else and the options with it are excellent! While you still need to rip the DVD with other programs, you can download stuff from the internet and convert it to MP4 with it.

never purchase software to convert the movies as there are a lot of free programs out there. search download.com for some. 1gb card is suffice for a psp movie, as when you take the screensize into consideration then each movie should be about 300mb

The only reason I bought the one I did (I would usually agree with you) was because I already own software by the same company and they upgrade it constantly. Im really paying for the support, not the functionality.

I can't count how many times I have downloaded free converters only to have them work half assed and when I send an email I get "what do you expect for free"

    Just looks like a forum

Everytime I try to set up something like that, I end up spending all day. I haven't really seen a step by step guide I understood (I know nothing about torrent sites)
