Recovering From Penalties

I was wondering if anyone out there has successfully recovered from either a PR0 penalty or a complete ban. If so, what was the timeframe and was it a complete recovery.

A lot of people seem to think that once your banned / hit with a penalty, that it's for life. Others think its a 4-6 month affair.

Thank god, I've never been hit with these penalties, so I have no first hand experience.. Anyone care to enlighten me?

No one can give u fix answers about penalties and its time duration.but if your site get banned that it need to go for re-inclusion request and need some good and trusted links so google can again trust on your site.
u need to add some fresh content and lots other things.

Yeah, you can do only the one thing - remove all 'dark' seos, pray and wait. You can ask for reinclusion too, this doesn't hurt, but help not much probably...

Remove all dirty tricks which are made intentionally or without any intentions.. and submit it for reinclusion try to do maximum white hat seo on this once trust factor will re gained the site will be indexed do maximum link building and take all the trusted links only. There is no time frame for this... all the best

G has automated penalties and manual penalties. If your site gets flagged with a manual penalty by a G engineer, I believe the only way to remove it is through a reinclusion request. An engineer has to review your site and remove a manual penalty.

Once you fix a violation problem, I've seen it typically take 30 to 90 days before an automated penalty is lifted. The problem is that you never know for certain if something you fixed is the real root of the penalty.

A reinclusion request works sometimes. The problem is trying to get a living, breathing body to actually look at your request. It looks like the chances of this happening are much greater now that you are supposed to file reinclusion requests through G's Webmaster Tools.
