Which are the best affiliate programs to try? I have registered with a couple and have not had much success. Are there affiliate programs that pay by page inpressions instead of clicks?

I would say pay per sale affliate programs would be the best rather than pay per clicks.

The type of affiliate program that will perform best on your site really depends on the user demographic and the subject around the site.

My suggestion would be to try different 'types' of programs and see which perfmorm the best.

    Good luck!

My favourite types of affiliate programs are those that pay residual commissions, like regular monthly membership sites for example, or those that give you a share of any revenues generated such as forex and poker programs.

the best affiliate program is a relative concept.

cj could be the best for someone while for somebody else copeac could be considered the best one. depend what are you looking for and what do you feel more comfortable with. Personally i started with moreniche (that split up in moreniche and worldniche), now i still promote them but i'm pushing harder webmasterlife (check my first link in the signature) because it seems converting much better.

When I started working as an affiliate, I found out that it is best to promote a set of products that you really love. You can't promote shoes as an affiliate if you yourself is a shoe junkie right? My advice is, choose a program that best suits your lifestyle and your interests. Soon you'll find out that such idea is no longer work but a combination of business and pleasure.

Personally, I recommend Gately's Affiliate Program at Affiliate Crew. The Gately’s Affiliate Program is a simple way for anyone with a Web site or an e-Newsletter to earn cash by referring customers to Gatelys.com, your source for an wide array of products that can help improve your home, health and life.

Clickbank is good. Alot of people make some serious money with them because they're commissions are usually around 75%. They key is to make sure you are targeting the right groups of people.

Many people hate Amazon. They hold your money for a very long time, the commissions aren't nearly as high as other programs, and they have a 1 day only cookie, which is frankly nuts. Their affiliate program is gradually getting worse and worse if you ask me. It's almost like their phasing it out.

To me, the best affiliate programs you can try out are:

    - Obviously, the ones that offers high-quality products.
    - The ones that pays generous commissions to its affiliates (by generous I mean at least 50% and up).
    - The ones that pays residual affiliate commissions.

I know of one that I would recommend you to check out and see if it interests you. It pays 65% recurring commissions. Just look at my public profile and visit my hompage url.

And please pm me if you have ANY questions,

    Prosperous Regards,

You should try affiliate networks. There you will 100's of programs.

    here is the numbering
    1. Pay per sale is better than
    2. Pay per lead is better than
    3. Pay per click.

I guess java would be a programming / design sort of site is it. If this is the case then maybe you could try things like Ascripts.com. I believe it's called that anyway. I am not 100% sure how good it is though as I have never tried them.

Personally, Pay Per Sale is fair for both the merchants and the affiliates over other mode/scheme.

The thing is never rely on your Network Solution to work everything for you. As an affiliate, you should also exert some effort to reach out to potential customers. For the part of Network Solutions, please do not exact too much fee for both merchants and affiliates.

It's really ridiculous seeing network solutions asking their affiliates to pay for a RSS Feed. :(

    Ummmm,

As soon as I read that I started thinking about CJ and Linkshare. I wonder why. Oh yeah, they charge their affiliates to use their datafeed system.
