HostGator » News March 23, 2007 Host Gator to Launch Search Engine Optimization Hosting New service enables customers to host on multiple C classes Houston, TX. March 23 - 2007 -- Host Gator, a leading provider of shared, dedicated and reseller web hosting, announced today that it will soon launch hosting services enhanced for search engine optimization under the brand SEO Hosting. In addition to all the expected SEO capabilities, this new service enables customers to optimize their web sites for search engines by enabling them to host on multiple C classes. Customers are regularly asking Host Gator for multiple C Class capabilities because of their belief that Google will penalize sites that have the same C class and are linking to each other. With multiple C Class capabilities, customers no longer have to work with multiple hosting providers to overcome this problem and can consolidate all their sites with Host Gator. "Host Gator is always listening to its customers and we strive to do all we can to meet their needs, especially in niche areas such as this," said Brent Oxley, President and Founder of Host Gator. "This is a truly a fantastic offering for webmasters and web publishers that want to do everything they can to optimize their web sites for search engines. None of our competitors can match our combination of both this technical capability and our rock solid hosting infrastructure." SEO Hosting is being offered as low as $5 per month per C Class. Customers will have the ability to add or remove C Classes as they desire. Any customer with more than 50 sites will be assigned a dedicated account representative. *************************************************************************************************************** Well what can i say all that bitchen and cryin finally paid of.... NO MORE ... are they on thier own ip crap issues... thx malcolm
That's cool, though they could lower the price a bit maybe, 10 sites mean $50/month-$600/year. You can buy different hosts on different ip's for each site for much less, no?
I use DreamHost. They charge just under $4.00 per month per unique ip address on different class C addresses.
That's is awesome malcolm! You've definitely helped everyone out here with your consistency with helping them to move things along. kudos to hostgator as well. well i guess it would all depend on your agenda.
Agree, I would rather have 6~7 small reseller accounts with different IP. As of now I am using 3 reseller hosts that gives me 3 different c class IP But overall, its a nice move by hostgator.. hope they extend this to their reseller hosting as well!
they told me another month so.. give them 30 days.. and im sure they will have a link and stuff ready...
Thanks for the info! That's really cool,$5/mo seems very reasonable as hostgator is a reputable company.
This is awesome - SEO hosting package. I am glad that they provide such a deal. At least I dont have to deal with more hosting companies. NeoGen: Which reseller account would you recommend?
Currently I am using following: hostmaven.com budgetreseller.com - Gives me ability to host on US and Canadian servers duportonline.com All of above are pretty solid host. Check WHT for review on them. I have taken small reseller packages with these hosts. Like with BudgetReseller, one can take their BR02/03 plan.
That is good news. I'm with arbonboy on the dreamhost issue as we're already enjoying the multiple IPs Nice to have an alternative out there. Was this move based on speculation of Google filter or is there something more concrete?
correct... im not trying to promote hostgator... just saying that finally someone who sees it my way and was willing to make the change for us... I have 3 resellers accounts...30 on each with a few different C class ips and want more as i think that having 3 directories per 1 C class is good enough as my only worry the whole time has been the interlinking of my directories due to NON availablity of C class ips, as i didnt want to be punished by google for bad linking stratagies. Another reason, also cause i got tired of everyone always frowning asking... "are they on the same ip" as that gets old real quick. Finally yes having everything in 1 place is so much easier... thx malcolm
Yep...that what I am looking for as well. "50" directories strong.....Are you going to add more directories to your collection?
Interesting to hear as ive just signed up to hostgator today with directories in mind, i have no intention of trying to catch up with malcolm though, you seem to be king of directories malcolm.
Though I support HG, I dont like the $5/C class concept...huge costs in the long run...should have been $3 or so IMO.
nice ... if my host give me any problem .. i might switch .. but i haven't got any problems from them yet
well i hope your not trying to have each directory on a different C class ip... Then i suppose it would get kinda expensive... Well if i have... 30 directories per panel X 3 directories per C class = 10 C classes per panel = $50 monthly+ Panel costs = $75.00 per panel providing that the $2 dollars per unique ip is charged cause then it jumps up to an extra $60 monthly for a total cost of 75 + 60= $135 per month for hosting damm i should have been a mathamatician THIS IS WHAT THEY COULD CHARGE.... I HOPE NO WHERE CLOSE ! Well taken that into perspective yes it can get VERY expensive... You had best have some link sales during that month... Yes i will keep building but will stay at 50 for now till i get them all the way i want them and then only after that ill make my push for 100 directories. Im currently building my niches as we speak... thx malcolm
Just got a mail from them and they're looking for some tester's. I guess it will be available to all soon.
