Hi, may I know if google will withdraw adsense if my sites are not updated for a long time and have little or no visitors?

No, they won't. It's not costing them anything to let you keep your ads displayed - in fact they are getting paid by the advertiser to do so!

Although it is in the TOS, I don't think they are actively terminating accounts for amount of clicks.

"In addition, Google reserves the right to terminate without notice any account that has not generated a sufficient number of valid clicks on Ads or Referral Buttons or valid impressions of Ads (in each case as measured by Google) for a period of two (2) months or more."

I too haven't heard of Google banning an account due to low traffic or CTR. But if you have exceptionally high CTR, then they may ban you :)

adsense is just the promoter which help advertiser to promote their site or goods and in turn it earn some commisiion from you. so dont worry that you will be banned.

They will never ban you. I can prove that myself. Some of my pages(not promoted) don't even get a single hit!!

Never, but you just get nothing. Try to update 3 times a week and make back links as many as you can do slowly. The result will be good

What would constitute an "exceptionally high CTR"? - any figures?

Although adsense will not ban your site for low traffic but if your click through rates are low, google will place ads with low CPC on your site which means that you will earn less

It is their in their TOS and reserves the right to remove ads if they find low number of valid links .But haven't heard that being applied on someone .

Yes....For prevention, you should have to work hard to increase the traffic on your site.
