You could have problems. In the UK, where I am, the bank will usually accept a check with the correct surname plus first name, or first initial, or all initials. The bank won't accept a check that doesn't have your surname (family name). If your PayPal has a different surname to your bank account you'll almost certainly have difficulty proving that you are the rightful payee of the check.

I'm guessing, since PayPal is largely a US phenomenon, they will issue the check to the exact name that's on the PayPal account. If that's not the same as the name on your bank account you could have problems. Banks are funny about people getting names correct - to do with reducing fraud.

It will definitely be the full name as you have provided. No bank that I know will accept a check with just the first name or just the last name.

Of course, the placement may vary but as long as both names are there and matches with the bank records, the check will clear. Otherwise it may be rejected or be delayed while it checks for your identity.

Something else you should be aware of - banks use any excuse to charge customers - it's how they make their money. If you present a cheque that subsequently gets rejected by the issuing bank you could be charged by your bank for the priviledge.

It wont create any problem. I can tell you that because I am havign same problem and Only person who is in same situation can explain it better. So When you recieve a check you can deposit into your bank accoutn without varying about first name and last name. But it does not mean that you can deposit check with different names

    Say

    Patel Rakesh

    and

Rakesh Patel will be considered as same when you deposit a check in banks. While filling slip for deposit a check remeber just fill data as per your bank account name.

You should add the correct name.why dont you contact Paypal customer support and explain them the problem,They Might ask for some documents and once you are verified you can withdraw easily.

Yes, if you have the first name and last name all there, it should not be a problem because of their placement.

However, the OP has his last name as an initial and thus is not a full name, it is a single alphabet. This can lead to some issues depending on how strict the bank is.
