He is the Google guy (one of their software engineer or something like that) that everyone seems to love .
just try to access any of his blog posts , they all going to index page with hacked message, i even tried same from search engines, you can't get to any of his posts IMO, so very positive
I think its really hacked.... not a prank... check this open letter to Matt cutts on the hackers website.
ShoeMoney mentions these April Fool's jokes in his blog. Pretty funny, but most people figured it out
The thing is, you can't tell for 100% if it's been hacked or not. All we know they could be doing this just so that they can get people to talk about it, which is just a marketing plan really and they can then pretend they done it as an April fools when in fact they wanted some media coverage over what they have done. But then again if it was an april fools, I wouldn't have thought they would have been promoting black hat SEO as it mentions that on the blog, plus it also defaces their company. It is telling people that there are bugs in googles algo, now even if it was an april fools, some people will believe this. Do you really think Google will pretend that their are bugs in their software and things, I don't really think so, it just makes google look not so good. So I would go with Matt Cutts blog being hacked 90% and 10% for it being extra media coverage. Also, some of the information is important on Matts blog and what about if Yahoo or MSN crawls the blog while it has been hack, that wouldn't look good to them search engines as they will probably delist his blog.
