Guitar Players of DP?

Any guitar players on here? I'm just curious. Is there a Jimmy Page among us?

I've tried the guitar and ... I have a phobia of guitar strings, so never again. Umm... I play the piano, does that count?

 

Man, I wish I knew how to play piano better. I love all musical instruments.

Do you play any instrument? I'm assuming a guitar

 

I play....I used to be in a Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds cover band...I got tired of playing all the tim and dave stuff (its way too hard to actually find tim's music in tablature), so now I am working on fingerstyle stuff, like Doyle Dykes, Doc Watson, etc...I play Martins as well, hence the username.

I play guitar mainly...but I also play drums, congas, bass, keyboards. I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan.

 

That's a really nice guitar Partdon my ignorance but what exactly is a custom (a customized guitar? )

I do play guitar but I'm not that good. I just do it for fun.

i have a nice washburn guitar, play it rather often.

 

Been playing for more years than I can remember... Bass Guitar, Guitar, some Keys, Ukele and got a Banjo that I'll prolly never learn to play...

Got 4-songs on our MySpace site... MultiView... Kinda 90's Radio Rock sounding...

 

I used to play the guitar a little bit, but then I stopped. I really want to learn how. So, next year I am going to take Guitar 1 and Guitar 2 as classes.

 

yes...it is a customized....I have a Martin D-16 that was sent back to the factory and customized to fit me and my playing style...I went with all gold hardware, ebony tuning knobs, shaved the frets, had the action lowered, bone nut and saddle, ebony endpins, and a custom Fishman pickup....basically, I have the same guitar Tim Reynolds plays (except his is a d-41 and mine is a d-16). Its a one of a kind to fit me, and I love it.

 

I play acoustic guitar and I like golden oldies and also like playing plucking.

 

I play the guitar quite well. More of Acoustic music! I don't really have a band which is my greatest frustration!

I'm learning, but I'm really not very good yet I did acoustic stuff at school, but I've been inspired recently to try to get better - I want to play some metal
