    I'm about to enter college, and thinking about doing buisness now..Just wondering, what are some good branches to go into, and what do you think is the best one, money wise. I'm still confused on what I want to do...Any suggestions.

    Business is the not a good major.

    There is no science in business you can learn it with experience.
    If you invest your money trying to learn a science, or example computer science. At least you can always have a skill to make money, but business is not a skill. It's just something people to study to get a fast job.

    It all depends on what you want to do with your future. :)

    Are you considering graduate school? I'm not sure how it works in the states since you guys have direct programs but in Canada, you need to do graduate school to get those 90k+ jobs (like dentistry)

    What you major is in undergrad is not as relevant and important as how you do academically in undergrad and whether you go for a grad school thereafter.

    Studies have shown that people with grad degrees make more money are have more job security than people with just an undergrad degree.
    This is of course not etched in stone--there are plenty of exceptions to the rule (as I'm sure there are plenty of those exceptions on this board :p), but it helps.

    Oh I've heard this too. Companies are most likely to hire Mba rather than just Bsa. But.. that's pretty obvious seeing how masters have more education in their field :p But... the key is EXPERIENCE (if you want the high pay).

    You might also want to consider a low competition job.. for security :p there are lots of high paying jobs out there but they're hard to get, even with a degree.

    Higher education is always a more sure-fire way to increase your salary and job security....but there are plenty of downsides to it i.e. a lot of loan payments, etc......

    If you're interested in a high paying job then study medicine or law. It takes ages to finish those courses though. :D

    You shouldnt go to college just so you can make more money; go to college to learn more about something you love or atleast enjoy doing;

    Computer Science Degrees are almost not worth it just because everyones doing it nowadays, but then if you like/love computers then go for it.

    Take me for example; im taking general classes at a community college So i can transfer to a different school next year to becom a Telecomunications Major with a minor in film. Im not doing it because i can make alot of money out of being a director but because I enjoy making films; I thought it was the perfect choice for me.

    (excuse the spelling ive been drinking)
