I WANT organic traffic

Hi

I really need organic traffic for one of my sites now, I want to be in the first page of google and yahoo results for 4-5 different keywords - and I am stumped. I have been posting in forums, I have a PR4, I have links, about 1000 directory listings - still no joy. Any suggestions?

use seo friendly urls. Build more links off of related sites using the correct anchor text, make a site map and submit it to google sitemaps.
Just keep grinding away at it and it will come

Add more content and useful features in your sites so that user can find it useful. Also get more quality links from the theme related sites or bit off e.g.- if your site theme is fishing, then get links from the fishing related equipment websites. Only directory links won’t do. Write some interesting and useful article and submit in article directories.

You would need more backlinks from high PR sites with similar content. You also need to keep your pages fresh with content.

 

What is your website ?

Have a read through the SEOBook or at the least spens a few hours reading through the posts.

 

u really needs loads of quality inbound links. got $$$? then buy some inbound links. That's how i get to first page on google.

 

Only 1000 directory listings?

Seriously though, in my opinion and experience directory listings aren't worth much. I would advise writing articles and submitting them to article directories, with your link in the resource box and strategic anchor text.

 

Do not just concentrate on link building for SERPs, if you want organic traffic, you must put your keywords in title tag, meta tags, URL, content, and of course, emphasize your main keywords in h1 tags (or any other header tags).

 

Make lots of unique content and publish it on a regular basis. Generate a sitemap and ping Google and Yahoo! with it. It might also be important to optimise your website's HTML for search engines, lik metatags, h1/h2/h3... headings, outbound links etc... You should also continue link building as this should be a constant process.

Good content and time... that's all it takes.

Having links helps but it's not like it once was. If you have good content, people will want to come back to it, that's how you GROW a website. Participate by leaving comments on popular blogs and forums in your niche and people will start visiting, if they like your site they will visit more often. If those people see that your site is consistently good, they will link and spread the word.

It takes time, but it's worth it (usually).

 

What website is it, its hard to giev advice when theres no knowing what we are working with.

 

So you're selling traffic which you get by spamming Yahoo groups?
