Hi all multimedia forum users, How can we measure PSNR of real-time video that any player (not a Windows Media or else...) processes i.e. broadcasting etc., so not in our local disk ? PSNR measurement matches frames and calculates the error ratio pixel by pixel ? Or measuring easily the loss frames etc... Since one alternative is to capture player content with screen capturing programs, but the measurement will be wrong. And also, the content codec is different. Existing PSNR measurement tools work for other definite file extensions... (YUV, AVI ...) So how can we measure the correct PSNR ? Thanks... Emin
maybe this would be of any help to u http://www.compression.ru/video/quality_measure/video_measurement_tool_en.html
Thanks for an answer, but already we found this tool. We downladed the trial executable. This and other existing tools match the two files located in our local disk, which are processed and original files. Our case is to match two files that one is a broadcasted etc... live content... And not in local media. And this player has not a choice of downloading real time content. This player must play the content, which only it understands the real content that keep extra content based information inside. So we search something like a tool that has a capable of capturing and measuring the PSNR of the real time video player while it is playing. Thanks...
