I was using a Ryobi electric drill and i accidentally got a screw stuck inside the magnetic piece which holds diffeerent screwdriver heads. Now i can't get the screw out. nothing I try will work. has anyone ever had this problem before? How can i get the screw out?! Here is a picture... http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/940/dscn0584rc9.jpg
I never thought of that this forums can be used to ask that too lol ... i suggest you to take it to the cooking gas and hot it for a min or two then keep hitting while heating with a screw driver or something like that.
Exactly what I was thinking Anyway, the only thing I can think of is, "heat n hit".... Heat it a little bit, hit it at random, repeat until it comes out...
If it's stuck because the storage part is magnetic, then you could always try a stronger magnet to get it out?
use your drill , and drill it out , use a 4 or maybe 5mm drill bit and drill the head of the screw , then just pull it out with some pincers or pliers
I would have just used a paper clip shaped like a hook. Or conversely super glued the end of the paper clip to the screw and then waited an hour. Then you just pull it out... I've had this happen about eight times, and each time the paper clip has saved me.
drill a hole thru it and thread it, then insert a threaded bolt and pull it out. or spend 2.99 and get a new one. lol
Aw gee - cut the guy some slack - it was his first post We were all newbies at one time And after all a drill is indeed a tool
i have had a similar problem before and i just got the threads lined up from where i took out the screw and started putting it back in. The torque will make the scew loose.
